Based at the Centre for Sustainable Development and Environment in Tehran, the World Alliance of Mobile Indigenous Peoples (WAMIP) is a clearing house for information from and for:
nomadic peoples and communities practicing various forms of mobility as a livelihood strategy while conserving biological diversity and using natural resources in a sustainable way.
They're an important reminder that food sovereignty needn't come from permanent ownership of a single plot of land, and that as a species, we were born not rooted but mobile. More on their site here.
