The Brass Liberation Orchestra does Whole Foods

There's lots to love in this short clip of a protest against Whole Foods CEO John Mackey's thoughts on health care (which come complete with wit and wisdom from Margaret Thatcher). It's just sad that not every town has a Brass Liberation Orchestra

LoL @ the kid that receives a flyer at the end of the video, he’s like “Wooot?”
I agree with the boycott of Whole Foods. John Mackey is trying to defeat single payer national health insurance.

You think that Mackey's evil because he said "How can we say that all people have more of an intrinsic right to healthcare than they do to food or shelter?" Essentially, that only means that John Mackey believes that food and shelter are equally important when compared with healthcare.
Let me take it one further - ask ANY bum on the street freezing to death or any starving child what they value more: A: Healthcare reform B: Being taken in and given food or shelter from the elements (If you think they'd pick A, you've never had hypothermia or a distended abdomen and vitamin deficiency from malnutrition). So what does that mean, your snippet "gotcha" quote at the beginning is meaningless? Hardly, it's misleading and misunderstood propaganda and you college kids think that shouting about change in a convenience store is how to make the world a better place? And how the hell do you get from JOHN MACKEY AND WHOLE FOODS TO HEALTHCARE REFORM???

First of all, that smug kid with a mic had a pair of glasses frames on that could have fed 10 starving kids for a year. And that mislead girl up next? John Mackey is the CEO of a private company that sells higher quality foods - you don't like it, DON'T BUY ANY! "It's not fair of him to be selling expensive organic food and then saying that people don't deserve healthcare..." WAKE UP, KID. YOUR govt handed 130,000,000,000$$$ to AIG, and they have almost NO idea where the money went. For that SAME cost - you could have given every American Healthcare for HOW long again??? But no, you peasants are too busy listening to the sounds of your own voices in a megaphone and getting high to realize that your govt has been highjacked by a class of greed and corporatocracy that you can't even wrap your brain around... And it's not enough that you're ignorant - no, to sit quietly in your home becoming obese I could understand and abide, as I do for so many millions of others - YOU've decided to attack the CEO of a private company that offers healthy alternatives to people who can afford them. What, you think that he should liquidate all stock and send every person in America ONE food bar so that things are "fair"?

Welcome to America's era of entitlement and ignorance. As long as the men and women who rule you can sit safely in their skyscrapers and private jets, they'll be laughing at you all the way to the bank...

Hey Raj!

Thanks for this. It's great fun, and a great cause. I know BLO talks about, among other issues, forming a multiracial group, and so what is to be said or done about the apparent race politics of an all or mostly White group of liberators and their interactions, engagements and articulations with a work force that is, in appearance, largely African American, Latin@, and Asian American? Hm?

Hope you're well.

See ya, Dan
